Reflecting on 2024, I’m filled with humility and gratitude for what we’ve accomplished together as a community. HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union has continued to grow and evolve, driven by our unwavering commitment to serving you and positively impacting our community.
This year, we are grateful to be recognized for the many ways we contribute to the financial well-being of our members and neighbors. Firstly, we were honored to be named a 2024 Forbes Best-in-State Credit Union. This recognition is a testament to our dedication to providing exceptional financial services and a superior member experience. We also celebrated the opening of our new Kakaako Financial Center, a modern and convenient space designed to meet your evolving needs. We look forward to serving the dynamic community of Kakaako into its bright future. Our commitment to innovation was then recognized when our new website was named Kentico Site of the Year.

In an exciting achievement, our members with rewards credit cards earned an impressive $951,757.00 in cash-back rewards! This milestone highlights our commitment to providing valuable benefits that enhance your financial journey.

We also expanded the reach of our Student-Operated Credit Union (SOCU) initiative, celebrating its operation in three Ewa Beach schools. This marks the first time we empower young people from kindergarten to high school with essential financial skills across the Ewa Beach complex. This initiative is a testament to our commitment to financial literacy and empowering future generations.

Additionally, we are proud to share that 61% of members enrolled in our free My Credit Score service saw an increase in their credit score between January 1 and November 30, 2024. This success reflects our dedication to helping you achieve your financial goals and improve your financial health.

This year's cornerstone of our community impact has been the launch of the Hope Collective—a collaborative partnership between HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union, the Domestic Violence Action Center (DVAC), and Blessed In HI retail stores. This initiative is a continuation of the Life Matters Collective we launched last year, embodying the spirit of community collaboration and social impact by creatively showcasing and selling exclusive products. Not only does this effort generate vital funds through the sales of specially designed Blessed Life products to support the mission of DVAC, but it also empowers survivors of domestic violence on their journey toward freedom and self-sufficiency. Recognizing the importance of financial education for survivors who often experience financial abuse, HawaiiUSA is dedicated to restoring financial autonomy for these individuals. Our role as a connector between small businesses and nonprofits demonstrates how partnerships can amplify our impact.

We were also honored to be named Community Partner of the Year by the Hawaii State Coalition Against Domestic Violence for our participation in the Financial Education Academy. This partnership aligns with our commitment to supporting our most vulnerable community members and promoting financial well-being for all.

Investing in our organizational future, two of our talented employees, Davin Pai and Keli’i Peltier, graduated from the Western CUNA Management School. This prestigious program demonstrates our commitment to professional development and leadership. By investing in our employees, we are investing in the growth of our credit union.

We’ve made significant strides in supporting the Alzheimer’s Association Hawaii Chapter, raising over $13,000 to help those affected by this debilitating disease. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to giving back to the community and supporting those in need, particularly in raising awareness about Alzheimer’s disease.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to our dedicated employees, board of directors, and, most importantly, our valued members. Your trust and support have been instrumental in our success. As we look forward to the new year, we remain committed to our core values of integrity, achievement, service, and unity. We will continue to strive for excellence, invest in our community, and empower you to achieve your financial goals.

Wishing you a joyous holiday season and a prosperous New Year.
