Alzheimer's disease is a serious health crisis in Hawaii. According to the Alzheimer's Association's latest report, over 31,200 Hawaii residents aged 65 and older are living with Alzheimer's. These individuals rely on approximately 60,000 caregivers who provide countless hours of unpaid care.
HawaiiUSA's Commitment to Community
To support the ALZ Hawaii Chapter's efforts, HawaiiUSA has actively participated in several initiatives:
- Walk to End Alzheimer's: HawaiiUSA employees and their families participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer's events on Oahu, Maui, Hawaii Island, and Kauai. The credit union even adjusted branch hours to accommodate employee participation.
