Building stronger futures together

As we begin a new year, I find myself reflecting on what truly defines HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union. It’s not just the milestones we’ve reached, but the people, partnerships, and purpose that made them possible.
In 2025, we continued to live our commitment to financial wellness by showing up where it matters most, alongside our members and in the heart of our communities. From celebrating the first graduates of the Idea2Biz West Oahu program to marking 30 years of our student-operated credit union at Waipahu High School, this year reinforced a belief we hold deeply: when people are given the right tools, guidance, and support, they can build stronger futures for themselves and their families.

We were proud to continue expanding access to financial education across Hawaii through our valued partnership with Chaminade University, invest in the next generation through our 2025 scholarship recipients, and help keiki start the school year with confidence through our support of Palama Settlementʻs back-to-school initiative. These efforts reflect our long-standing belief that financial wellness starts early and grows through education.

2025 was also a year of leadership and service. We celebrated HawaiiUSA employees who graduated from the Patsy T. Mink Leadership Alliance programs, women leaders who represent the future of our organization and our community. Together with our members, we raised more than $40,000 through The Hope Collective, amplifying local impact, while ensuring community support reached those who are most vulnerable.
Recognition, while never our goal, reminded us that we are on the right path. Being named to Forbes’ list of America’s Best-In-State Credit Unions for the seventh time is a reflection of the trust our members place in us every day and the dedication of our employees who serve them.

As we look to the year ahead, we do so with momentum and purpose. We will continue to innovate, invest in financial education, and deepen our role as a trusted local partner, helping members navigate today’s challenges while planning confidently for tomorrow.

Thank you to our members, employees, community partners, and volunteers for making 2025 a year of meaningful impact. I look forward to what we will accomplish together in the year ahead.

With gratitude,

Greg Young
