We work with the Hawaii Department of Education to award funding for professional development opportunities for teachers
2021 Stipend is postponed
For many years, HawaiiUSA has partnered with the Hawaii Department of Education to provide stipend funding to teachers, enabling them to develop professionally and improve student learning. Proceeds raised from our Annual Golf Tournament, made possible by many generous partners and supporters, has enabled HawaiiUSA to fund these stipends.
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our community in a myriad of ways, including the cancellation of the 2020 Golf Tournament. As such, DOE and HawaiiUSA have mutually decided that the stipend will not be available in 2021. However, we remain committed to supporting member-educators and their communities in various ways during this extraordinary time, and are hopeful that we may continue offering the professional development stipend in 2022.
