Switch your account in just three steps 

Download our switch kit through the link above. You'll find several of the forms you need. 

If you're not a member or only have a HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union savings account, we can help you open the checking account. 

  • After you receive your HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union account number and your 11-digit MICR number, use the AUTHORIZATION FOR DIRECT DEPOSIT form to assist you with establishing or transferring your regular payments or retirement funds to your HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union accounts. If you have Social Security, complete US Treasury Form 1199A, or you can visit a branch and we'll help fill out the form for you.
  • To begin/transfer your current automatic bill payments, insurance payments, etc. from your new HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union checking account, use the AUTHORIZATION FOR AUTOMATIC PAYMENT/WITHDRAWAL form. While the payment transfers are taking place, you may pay those bills and others using our Online Bill Pay service.
  • Complete and send the REQUEST TO CLOSE MY ACCOUNT form to your previous financial institution to instruct them to close your account(s) and receive any remaining balances.
  • Please allow time for any outstanding checks, final direct deposits and/or automatic withdrawals to clear from your current account. Remember to destroy any checks, ATM/debit cards and deposit slips to protect your personal and financial information.

You can apply for a membership by opening an account online, or if you are a current member, you can open a secondary savings and checking account! You may be eligible to join HawaiiUSA if:

  • You or a member of your family or household is in the field of education as an employee, retiree, student or student's parent in a majority of Hawaii schools, pre-K through 12th grade
  • You are affiliated with any of our 10,000+ Select Employee Groups (SEGs)
  • Your immediate family member is a HawaiiUSA member 

Yes! Immediate family of HawaiiUSA members can apply online to open an account. Additional eligibility options are also available.
