A little more about me

Why did I become a Business Development Officer?

My role as a Senior Business Development Officer was created for me when one of our Executives saw the need for a deeper business and community connection and believed in my abilities.

Why does financial wellness matter?

Being one of nine siblings, I learned from an early age the importance of budgeting—living within your means is all I have known. Additionally, financial wellness can be seen in the importance with saving now for retirement because what you’ll need in the future is more than likely more than what you think.

What do I do when not at work?

I enjoy volunteering at local high schools and supporting their mock job fairs, participating in the Hawaii Association for College Admission Counseling (HACAC) events, Small Business Administration (SBA) fairs such as those at Leeward & Honolulu Community College, as well as serving on the following community boards: Hawaii Air Cargo Association, Myron B. Thompson Academy, Hawaii Restaurant Association, Kaneohe Business Group, and the Hawaii Homeownership Center. And when it’s possible, I love to travel. I have flown to San Francisco for Chowder, to Paris for the night lights, and to Brussels for chocolate, just to highlight some of the sights I’ve been blessed to see.
