The credit union has designed and printed free resources for teachers to use in classes K-12.
Honolulu, HI - HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union and Fisher Hawaii have partnered to make free educational resources easily obtainable for teachers who shop at the school supply store locations. HawaiiUSA designed and printed classroom kits at no charge to educators, which are now available on shelves at three Fisher Hawaii locations. Any teacher can pick up the kit, which will be regularly updated by HawaiiUSA to ensure new information and content is shared.
The classroom kits include activities that teach money management tips to students in elementary, middle, or high school. Information about HawaiiUSA’s other resources to help educators implement economics and finance in their curriculum or at their school is also available in the free kits.
“HawaiiUSA started as a credit union for teachers and our commitment to education continues through our many programs and resources we have for Hawaii educators,” said Joanne Ching, Financial Wellness Partner at HawaiiUSA. “How we empower financial futures for our keiki is by empowering teachers to give them the knowledge they need to build healthy financial habits, starting in the classroom.”
The classroom kits include infographics and easy activities about budgeting, saving, and common money beliefs that teachers can implement in any curriculum and lesson plan. The kits can be found at the Mapunapuna, Pohukaina, and Downtown Fisher Hawaii store locations.
