2013 Holiday Edition eNewsletter

Message from the President...

Aloha! Although there are more positive indicators that our economy is truly recovering this holiday season, gridlock in Washington is hurting everyone. But there is cause for optimism and confidence that despite the problems in our nation’s capitol, we are beginning to adjust to the “new normal”.

Our credit union’s performance in 2013 can be best described as “steady”, and we are optimistic for continuing improvement to our financial condition. We remain the largest credit union in Hawaii, and have strong reserves and income in 2013.

We appreciate the confidence and loyalty of our membership, who voted us one of “Hawaii’s Best” credit unions in the Honolulu Star Advertiser survey. Our Board of Directors and staff strive everyday to live our brand promise of “Life matters”.

One exciting new initiative is “LEAP” — Life Events Assistance Program – which will empower all of our staff with the knowledge to provide financial information to everyone. We will also have a resource center on our LEAP website complete with tools and advice on financial matters. We realize that educating our members and others during the different stages in their life is another way we can live our brand promise of “Life matters”.

Many more initiatives will be announced in the coming months, so we look forward to a brighter 2014.

President's Message | Karl Yoneshige

“Wishing you and your family the best this Holiday Season
and a very Happy New Year!"
