What is a Mobile Wallet?
A Mobile Wallet is a digital version of your physical wallet. You can store your credit cards, debit cards, and even loyalty cards on your phone, tablet, or smartwatch and use them to make purchases.
Why should I use Mobile Wallet?
It's secure. The cards in your Mobile Wallet can only be accessed by a PIN, password, or fingerprint. Unlike a physical card, your card information is never fully displayed in the Mobile Wallet, making it difficult for fraudsters to steal.
It's convenient. No need to search for your wallet for cards! Most payment apps have your Mobile Wallet readily available on your Home screen. Making the payment only takes a few seconds, perfect for those on-the-go.
How does it work?
It's simple! Open up your payment app, select the card you'd like to pay with, and hold your device close to the payment terminal. Within seconds, your payment app uses information transfer technology (such as NFC, Near Field Communication) to complete your payment quickly and securely at the touch of a button.
Your device and payment app will determine where your Mobile Wallet is accepted. More information on these payment apps can be found below.
