Applications for nominations to fill three 2022-2023 HawaiiUSA Supervisory Committee vacancies will be accepted from November 1, 2021 for consideration by the Nominations Committee. Two vacancies are for three-year terms and one vacancy is for a one-year term. Basic qualifications for applicants are as follows:

  • Must be a member of HawaiiUSA for at least one year (membership open prior to December 31, 2020) and in good standing.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age as of December 31, 2021.

The Supervisory Committee consists of five volunteer credit union members. Primary objectives include evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of the credit union’s internal control for safety and soundness of operations and assets, and performing or overseeing audits and verifications to comply with National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) federal requirements. Supervisory Committee members assume fiduciary responsibility, do not receive compensation, and may be required to commit many hours of their own time.

 

Applicants will be reviewed and interviewed by Nominations Committee and forwarded to HawaiiUSA FCU Board of Directors who will appoint one applicant to fill each vacant position as required by the National Credit Union Administration’s (NCUA) Bylaws.
