General Information

Will there be a downtime or disruption of service?

Online Banking service will be virtually uninterrupted when we switch over to the new provider. However the Bill Pay service will be down from 9:00 a.m. on September 30, 2009 until 8:00 a.m. on October 1, 2009 (HST). Any payments scheduled to occur on that date will be processed as scheduled.

Are there new computer browser requirements with this new system?

Anyone accessing online banking must have version IE 5.5, Firefox 2.0, or Safari 1.0 browser or higher. The online banking sign-on page provides you with links to upgrade to the latest browser version, if you need it.

How do I access this new Online Banking service?

You can continue to go to www.hawaiiusafcu.com and click on the Online Banking button on the home page or you can go directly to https://online.hawaiiusafcu.com. If applicable, please update your bookmark or your Favorites.

How do I logon to the new new system?

Your current Online Banking login will work with the new system. And, if you ever forget your password, our new "Forget Password" feature will make make it easy for you to regain access to the new service any time of day or night.

Can I download my transaction history?

Yes. Transaction history can be downloaded to Quicken or to a spreadsheet in a .csv form.

What version of Quicken does Online Banking support?

Quicken 2008 and 2009 are supported. Please [click here] for more details for Quicken users.

Can I access my HawaiiUSA credit card information?

In December 2009, a single sign-on feature will be in effect. When you click on the Credit Card link, you will automatically be directed to the PSCU site (our credit card vendor) and already be logged into your credit card account.

What does the Mortgage link do?

The Mortgage link will take you to Bank of Hawaii's Mortgage Management Center. Bank of Hawaii services many of HawaiiUSA FCU's first mortgages. If you have a HawaiiUSA mortgage serviced by Bank of Hawaii, you will have the ability to access your mortgage information online. You can register as a Mortgage Management Center user and access your loan information.

Online Bill Pay

What do I need to do to ensure my Bill Pay service continues to work properly?

Prior to conversion, you should review your payee information to confirm your payee information is current, especially the payment mailing address. Please review your payee information after the conversion, to ensure the information was properly transferred.

Am I eligible for Bill Payment service?

If you are registered for Online Banking, you are also eligible to enroll in the Bill Pay service.

How do I log into the bill payment system?

You no longer need a separate login to access Bill Pay. Once you are logged in to Online Banking, you will be logged in and have access to Bill Pay.

Will I have to re-enter my payee information?

No. Your payee list will automatically be converted into the new Bill Pay service.

What if I have recurring payments scheduled through the old bill pay provider?

Your recurring payments will be converted over to the new bill payment system. You will not have to set them up again.

Will payments be sent electronically or by check?

Some payments will be sent electronically and others will be sent by check. This is dependent upon the payee.

What is the maximum number of payees I can have?

you can enter an unlimited number of payees; there is no maximum.

What is the maximum amount I can pay through Bill Payment?

The maximum is $10,000 per transaction.

When should I schedule my payment to ensure it gets to the payee on time?

The new Online Bill Payment system calls for you to specify the "withdrawal date". This differs from the old system that automatically calculates the "delivery date" of the payment. Please schedule all check payments 5-7 days prior to the due date. Payments sent electronically should be scheduled 3 days in advance.

How far in advance can a payment be scheduled?

Payments can be scheduled up to 10 years in advance.

When will the funds be deducted from the my account?

The funds will be deducted on the "scheduled withdrawal" date you have chosen. The deduction will be made from your designated account after 5:00pm (HST) on the scheduled withdrawal date.

How will payments to HawaiiUSA loans and credit cards be handled?

The payment will be posted to the loan account on the same day withdrawal is posted.

Are my payments still guaranteed?

Yes. As long as the payment was scheduled within the timeframe specified and the payment information submitted by you are correct, the payment guarantee will cover any standard late fees and finance charges assessed. A letter of apology will be provided to the payees.

Note: The guarantee does not apply to payments made to federal made to federal, state or local government or tax unit, or to other categories of payees that we establish from time to time.

Are there any restrictions as to whom I can pay through Bill Pay?

Yes. Please do not use the Bill Payment service to make payments to federal, State or local agencies or tax units.

What if the payee claims the payment was not received?

HawaiiUSA will handle the research and resolution of issues involving payments not received. Call our Member Service Center at 534.5300 or toll-free (800) 379.1300 or visit any of our branches to notify us of the problem.

Automated Lending Systems (ALS)

What if I don't know how much to apply for?

You may indicate what type of loan you want to apply for and leave the amount at $0. We will then determine how much the you can qualify for at the time.

When will I know if I have been pre-qualified?

If you are pre-qualified, you may get an answer immediately. If you are unable to be pre-qualified for a loan, you will be notified within an hour. If your application was submitted less than an hour before close of business day or when our offices are closed, you will receive an answer in thefollowing business day.

Can I apply for more than one type of loan using the same application?

You may only apply for one loan per application.

Can I apply for a Share Secured loan over the internet?

Share Secured loans are not available over the internet. Please stop by a branch to apply for a Share Secured loans.
